Folk singer Aurora Baer returned to Duluth in March after six months in Nashville studying the craft of songwriting. It’s been two years since she’s held down regular gigs in the Twin Ports, but she says she’s poised for a relaunch with a new band consisting of Andy Lipke on lead guitar, Adam Staupe on bass and Ben Berg on drums. “I’m kind of starting over,” she says. “I’ve been doing this eight years. I started when I was 19. I’m 27 now, so I almost know what I’m doing. … I just want to make music for the people that live around where I live and kind of hook into that hippie scene.”
