Unfortunately Duluth EDM stalwart, Scott Gusts (in Homegrown schedule speak: Phantom Ship) is out ill and will be unable to make his scheduled festival appearance.  All of us at Homegrown HQ wish him a quick recovery, but the festival must go on and we will not let any slot go unfilled!

We were lucky enough to get Duluth native NonFic to step in and take the slot….  You won’t be disappointed, we promise.

Born in Duluth, MN NonFic was introduced to hip hop at age 12 when he came across a cassette tape of Big Daddy Kane’s, Long Live the Kane. Soon after he started b-boying in local talent shows and school dances, his first experience with live performing.

Fast forward to the present and NonFic is a quickly emerging emcee who’s  been able to share the stage with artists such as Tech N9ne, Freddie Gibbs, Prof, Blueprint, Jarren Benton, Carnage the Executioner, Kristoff Krane, Spawn of Atmosphere and many local performers.

NonFic is currently working with Minneapolis based producer Andrew DIFF to release his first official release due out this Summer. He also collaborates frequently with local producers Danecdote and Nick “MidiEvil” Pawlently of Strictly Hammers and Low Hi Funk, both of which there are projects in the works. Be sure to keep a close eye on this homegrown talent over the next year.
