If you missed out on last night’s festivities, you REALLY missed out on last night’s festivities…   But don’t worry, The Chicken forgives you and has blessed you with SEVEN more days of rawk and/or roll.

Monday night is chock-full of artsy goodness, kicking off at 5:00pm in Teatro Zuccone’s lobby with the Homegrown Photo Show, coordinated by Laramie Carlson.  He’s kinda famous for the pictures with the pretty squiggly lights in them, in fact the photo for this blog post is some of his handy-work.  Val Turcotte and Tom O’keefe will be playing their own special blend of vintage country at 5:30 to further enhance your photo viewing pleasure. Since you’re already there, head downstairs to the Zinema 2 at 7:00pm for the first screening of the Homegrown Music Video Festival.

Photographs and videos not getting you excited?  Maybe the literary arts are more your thing?  Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.  The Homegrown Poetry Showcase, which at last check was 30 poets strong, starts at 8:00pm at the Underground. Jesse Hoheisel, Kathy McTavish and Richie Townsend will provide mood music. Mary Bue and Kyle Elden organized the showcase.

Fine, maybe you aren’t into poetry, videos, or photography, and just want to get yer boogie on…   totally fine, this is a music festival after all.  Downtown Duluth will be filled with music for the rest of the night.  The Fitger’s Complex will be hosting bands at The Fitger’s Brewhouse, The Rex, and The Redstar Lounge, it’s a vertible music mall, and don’t forget you’ve Sir Benedict’s right across the street as well.  Not feeling like going that far east?  Carmody and Dubh Linn will be rocking all night as well.

Today’s schedule is posted below, now go forth music festers and be your… festiest?!
