Guitar player Rob Fernquist refers to Circadian Nations’ music as “dark” country or “goth” country. “Our repertoire consists of new takes on old country songs by the likes of Roger Miller and Johnny Cash, as well as goth groups like Joy Division and Sisters of Mercy, with a strong set of originals which falls in there somewhere,” he says. Fronted by vocalist Joshua Jordan and featuring David Aldridge on mandolin/guitar and Luke Olson on bass, the band has a standing gig at Bev’s Jook Joint in Superior on Monday nights.
