Bassist Jeremy Malecki says Bury the Sun is not your average metal band. “Yes, we’re loud and your mom probably hates us,” he says, “but we’ve departed from the traditional verse/chorus/verse pop-standard format that is so prevalent in today’s music.” Singer/guitarist Mike Trepanier channels his American Indian roots, producing passionate lyrics about the poverty, mistreatment and addictions his people face. Drummer Tim Simmons rounds out the trio.
